The Lawrence

Birch Plywood / Iron Linoleum / Steel

2019

The origin of the name of this table is currently unknown. One theory is that we made one for someone named Lawrence. But in reality this table was a collaboration with Colorado based architects, David & Betzi Barrett, for a project of theirs in the heart of downtown Boulder, CO. So really it should be called ‘The Barrett’ but who’s counting. The table features a gentle curvilinear body, lined with iron colored linoleum. The softness of the tabletop is contrasted with handmade, mid-century inspired, angular steel legs. It was designed to allow space to move around the table easily in a slightly smaller space. Thanks to David & Betzi’s design ideas, we created something that distinctively fits its space.
